Abstract

The W widget set is a collection of widgets written by Just van Rossum for his Mac Python IDE (part of the standard distribution of Python for the Macintosh). They add an additional level of functionality to the Framework module, as well as allowing interactive programming of GUI elements in the IDE. While less rich than the widget sets available in Tkinter or other GUI interfaces, W provides most of the functionality you would need to create your own Macintosh application.
